In 1956, SINOTRUK was established by China Government.

In 1960, SINOTRUK produced China’s first heavy duty truck Huanghe brand 8 tons truck JN150.

In May of 1960, Chairman Mao inspected CNHTC Huanghe Truck JN150 in SINOTRUK factory.

In 1979, SINOTRUK produced first 10 tons truck in China, CNHTC Huanghe brand JN162.

In 1983, SINOTRUK introduced STEYR truck manufacturing technology to China from Austria.

In 2003, SINOTRUK & VOLVO Group set up the joint venture company for heavy duty trucks.

In 2005, SINOTRUK developed HOWO brand truck combining VOLVO & STEYR technology.

In 2009, SINOTRUK signed an agreement with German MAN Group to start partnership in technology, capital, products, markets and other aspects.

In 2010, SINOTRUK ranked No.1 in all Chinese truck manufacturers by sales volume 199,600 units.

In 2012, SINOTRUK exported more than 33,000 units trucks and trailer (Acid Tanker Trailer, Tractor Truck, Mixer Truck, Tanker Truck,Dump Truck, Lowbed Trailer, Cement Trailer etc.) to oversea markets.

In 2013, SITRAK - the cooperation brand between SINOTRUK and MAN was launched.

In 2014, SINOTRUK (CNHTC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the DANGOTE Group in Nigeria while Chinese Premier Li Keqiang was on his official visit in four countries in Africa.

In 2015, The Research Center of SINOTRUK (CNHTC) was officially opened. Open a new chapter for SINOTRUK HOWO TRUCK.

In 2016, the first smart heavy truck of SINOTRUK HOWO was officially launched,SINOTRUK opened a new era of intelligent manufacturing

In 2017, SINOTRUK and COSCO signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two parties will take advantage of the major opportunities of the development and transformation of the transportation industry under the national “One Belt, One Road” policy to promote the services quality.

In Dec. 2018，SINOTRUK's 2019 business conference was held in Jinan. SINOTRUK expects to export more than 36,300 unit HOWO trucks and semi-trailers (like Tractor Truck, Tipper Truck, Flatbed Trailer, Bulk Cement trailer, Fuel tanker Trailer etc.) in 2018, accounting for 50% of domestic heavy-duty truck exports, ranking first in the industry. The exporting business ranks first in the industry for the 14th consecutive year.
